Manasa Sirasa starts off as a Western but Illayaraja brilliantly throws a curveball and changes it into a Classical composition and somewhere in the middle he brings both these together and makes a pucca fusion in his style. S. Janaki and SPB as usual play through the twists and turns of Illayaraja’s music and throw their own style into the mix. Interestingly, this is the first and last movie of Poornima Bhagyaraj in Telugu as a lead lady and she would go on to do more supporting roles years later.
