An interesting way to Introduce Rajni in the film. Unlike today, where we see their legs, head, shoulder, Mustache, and finally the face, but back then it wasn’t the case and I believe this trend started with Suresh Krishna’s Baasha. Naarkalikku Sanda podum is the political song that teases the public and the politicians equally, this sits right into the Rajni intro song because of the message and teases the audiences with him playing the “Starting a Political party” game.

Guru Sishyan is the first time Actor Prabhu and Rajni appear on screen and this is also the Tamil debut movie of actress Gautami. There is a fight sequence towards the climax of the movie which was a direct lift from the famous sequence from The Raiders of the Last Ark.
