I have heard this song numerous times but never seen the visuals. “Kaalidasan Kannadasan” is from the film Soorakottai Singakutty, directed by Rama Narayanan, with Silk Smitha in the lead role. One of the reasons this movie failed was reportedly due to her being cast as the lead. How narrow-minded and conservative are our audiences? It’s frustrating! Unfortunately, this attitude continues, and many women in Tamil cinema still face slut-shaming and name-calling, which is a real shame.
