Let’s slightly switch gears and come back to the Tamil Film Music of Illayaraja and this time I wanted to highlight Raaja appa songs composed for “Illayarathilagam” Prabhu (I am not sure if Illayathilagam will still be a suitable title for him, nevertheless :P) and Prabhu was one of the lucky few who got wonderful songs from Illayaraja’s compositions.

Anne Anne Sippai Anne was my favorite song, back in our school days we used to re-write the lyrics and use this song on various occasions. Such a fun fun song it is and even the music was composed in such a fashion. Interestingly, Kozhi Kooudhu is the first directional debut of Illayaraja’s brother Gangai Amaran.
