Unaroo is a sophomore film by director Mani Ratnam and the first and last Malayalam film directed by him. Interestingly, it’s also a political film like most of Mani Ratnam’s. This movie touches upon the heart and soul of Kerala, and the problems that arise inside the labor union parties of Kerala. Deepame though is a celebration song and starts in a typical Illayaraja fashion and moves on to a melodious pace.
