Sitara is the Telugu debut for actress Banupriya and only the previous year she debuted in the Film Industry and that too in Tamil. In the same year as her Telugu debut she acted in 9 films and didn’t commit to any other languages and in the year 1985 alone, she acted in close to 15 films, except one Tamil film all others were Telugu films.

Kukukoo Kukukoo is fairly a unique composition where Raaja used the chorus brilliantly and the choreography seemed very unique. Eventhough in certain portions he touches upon some of the familiar tunes (Tamil song listeners might identify a couple of songs) but overall this love song is unique in itself and the orchestration of the songs and picturization are to be applauded.
