Unakkum Enakkum was trending on Instagram last year and I thought it must be some old Illayaraja song but never in my wildest dreams I thought this song was from Sri Raghavendra movie. This song was reused by the American band Black Eyed Peas’s bonus track “The Elepmunk Theme” and this version was the one that got popular on Instagram. Even though the American band added an additional layer of music they retained most of the song. (Will add that version of the song as well)

This is Thalaivar’s 100th film even though it was a Box Office bomb, this film fetches a couple of awards for him and is also a must-watch film for Thalaivar’s acting prowess. Interestingly, this film also received a Tax exemption from the Tamil Nadu government back then. This song was not featured in the film because the producer K. Balachandar felt the song didn’t fit into this devotional film, nevertheless, it has reached worldwide now.
