Gayathri was based on a Novel by Writer Sujatha and If I’m not wrong this must be from Sujatha’s famous detective series. This was the second time Illayaraj collaborated with Sujatha for this song.

Somehow, this song sounds familiar but I don’t remember coming across it. I think that’s the case with most of Illayaraja songs. Do give it a listen.
